1. Introduction
Smart Delivery provides a mobile application that simplifies integration between restaurants and delivery platforms in Saudi Arabia. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information when you use the Smart Delivery app ("the App").
By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Account Model
Smart Delivery does not offer public self-registration. User accounts are created and managed by an authorized administrator on behalf of your restaurant or organization. To obtain an account, you must contact your organization's Smart Delivery administrator. Account deletion is also initiated through your administrator or our support team — see Delete Account for details.
3. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
3.1 Information provided by your administrator
- Name and contact details (e.g., email address, phone number)
- Restaurant or business affiliation and role
- Login credentials assigned to your account
3.2 Information collected through the App
- Device information: device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers
- Push notification token: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) registration token used to deliver notifications to your device
- App activity: integration settings, platform connection status, and operational preferences
- Order and transaction data: order details synced from connected delivery platforms as part of the integration service
- Log data: IP address, access timestamps, and diagnostic information for security and troubleshooting
3.3 Information we do not collect
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data such as health information, financial account numbers, or precise geolocation unless required for a specific integration feature and disclosed to you in advance.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Smart Delivery integration service
- Authenticate your account and manage access permissions
- Sync tickets and settings between your restaurant and delivery platforms
- Send push notifications about tickets, integration status, and service updates via FCM
- Respond to support requests and administrator actions
- Monitor performance, detect fraud, and improve security
- Comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations in Saudi Arabia
5. Push Notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging)
The App uses Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver push notifications. When you grant notification permission, we store your device's FCM registration token on our servers so we can send alerts related to your restaurant operations (e.g., new orders, integration events, or service messages).
You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings. Disabling notifications will stop delivery of alerts but will not delete your account or other stored data.
FCM is operated by Google. Google's processing of data through Firebase is governed by Google's Firebase Privacy Policy and Google Privacy Policy.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process personal data:
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — push notification delivery
- Cloud hosting providers — secure storage and processing of application data
These providers process data only as necessary to perform their services on our behalf and are required to protect your information in accordance with applicable data protection standards.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only in these circumstances:
- With your organization's administrator who manages your Smart Delivery account
- With delivery platforms connected through the App, as required to fulfill integration services
- With service providers (such as Google FCM) who assist in operating the App
- When required by law, regulation, court order, or governmental authority in Saudi Arabia
- To protect the rights, safety, and security of users, our service, or the public
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When your account is deleted, we remove or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Order history, transaction records, and audit logs may be retained for up to 7 years where necessary for tax, accounting, or regulatory compliance under Saudi Arabian law. FCM registration tokens are deleted when your account is removed or when you revoke notification permissions and we process the deletion request.
9. Account Deletion and Data Removal
Because accounts are administrator-managed, account deletion must be requested through your organization's Smart Delivery administrator or by contacting our support team. Upon confirmed deletion, we remove your profile, credentials, FCM token, integration settings, and associated personal data as described on our Delete Account page.
You may also request deletion of specific data without closing your account by contacting support@smartdelivery.sa.
10. Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure authentication. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Your Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request deletion of your account and personal data
- Object to or restrict certain processing activities
- Withdraw consent for push notifications via device settings
To exercise these rights, contact your organization's administrator or email support@smartdelivery.sa. We will respond within 30 days.
12. Children's Privacy
Smart Delivery is a business application intended for restaurant operators and their authorized staff. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
13. International Data Processing
Smart Delivery primarily serves users in Saudi Arabia. Your data may be processed on servers located within or outside Saudi Arabia, including by Google Firebase infrastructure. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place when data is transferred internationally.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated through the App or via email where appropriate.
